Once upon a time in a small village lived an old man. He had one daughter, her name was Floofie. She was one of the prettiest females in the village. Still, no one talked to her because she was... different.

One day, Floofie's father fell ill and was bed ridden. The problem? The closest Doctor lived in the next town which was at least a few days of travel due to the travel time around the forest.

So, there Floofie stood face-to-face with the forest. If you went through the forest it would only take a day to reach the next town. Floofie took a deep breath and headed into the forest, her heart racing! She made her way through the forest until she came upon a castle.

In the end, Floofie let her curiousity get the best of her and entered the castle gate. She wandered about until she came upon a garden. It was pretty. The flowers seemed to glow.

Floofie found a single blue rose and gently touche it. A furious roar filled the castle. Loud sounds entered her ears as a gigantic creature jumped in front of her. Floofie screamed! She looked at the creature with tear filled eyes -it was a giant panda bear.

The bears green eyes looked at Floofie with rage and a mild sense of curiosity. She poked the panda to see if it was real or not...

"What are you doing here?" asked a deep voice.

"I-I was just... trying to get to the other side of the forest. My father is very ill and the Doctor is in the next town. I needed to get there as quickly as possible!"

"I am Pandy. This is my castle." the bear looked at Floofie, "I'll make a deal with you.. I will give you a magic tonic that will cure your father, but I will only give it to you if you promise to return to me after he is better. Then, you will stay with me... forever. Deal?"

"Y-yes." Floofie spoke as confidently as she could muster.

"Here. Don't forget to come back."

"I-I won't." after Floofie took the tonic she headed back to her father. When she arrived it was dark outside. She hurried inside to her father who was still ill in bed.

Without a word she made him a drink and mixed in the tonic. Floofie gave the drink to her father and told him to drink. He drank it all. Floofie stayed taking very good care of him for the next week. She explained her agreement to her father. He was sad and cried not wanting to let her go, but Floofie told him not to worry. He finally let her go back to Pandy.

When Floofie found the castle again in the middle of the forest it was dark, all was silent. She called for Pandy, but there was no answer. Floofie opened the doors to the castle and stepped in shaking. The dark rooms casting misleading shadows along the pathway as she walked.

"Pandy?" she called, "Pandy, where are you? It's me Floofie. I came back, as I promised."

Light footsteps and heavy breathing could be heard as Pandy came walking into the light from a nearby window.

"You came back..." He sounded shocked to see Floofie.

"I promised I would. So, here I am." Floofie smiled like a child would visiting an amusement park.

"I'll show you where you'll stay." he mumbled turning and shuffling away. Floofie followed him closely not wanting to get lost. "Here we are. This is your room now..."

Floofie walked in and gasped at the room, it was way too glamorous for her. Pandy mumbled he hoped she liked it and dinner would be ready in a few hours.

                                               ***
Floofie had been with Pandy for a few months now. Everyday she and Pandy went for a walk around the castle together. They talked, and then would eat together. Every night when Pandy would leave her he would always say he had an important thing to ask her soon, and that she should be ready for it. She had exhausted every clue as to what the question was. Plus, even though she hated to admit it, she had formed feelings for that panda bear.

One night while they were at dinner Pandy cleared his throat. His green eyes found hers. He rose and began walking around the table something in his paw.

"Floofie, I know this may be strange but... I love you." his eyes searched Floofie's carefully before continuing, "Would you consider becoming my wife?"

Floofie was silent. Her shocked eyes filled with tears and she wouldn't stop crying. Pandy asked if she was alright before saying if it bothered her so much they could just forget it.

"No." She grabbed Pandy's arm, "I love you. I'd love to be your wife."

He smiled as a warm glow covered him and the castle when the glow vanished there stood a beautiful man.

"Floofie, I love you! It's me Pandy!" the man exclaimed.

Floofie examined the beautiful man and looked into his gleaming green eyes. She smiled slightly moving some of his hair out of his face.

"It is you! Pandy! What happened? Were you under a spell?" he nodded and the two embraced.

A month later they married in front of everyone at the castle, including Floofie's father! Soon, they had a child named ALice. They were so happy to the ends of the earth! For you see, they lived happily ever after!
Floofie and Pandy
Here is another old story from my High School creative writing class! Haha. Re-writing this is a bit painful! The fact that she was just so... okay with everything... even marrying a panda? It is quite awkward. I had to alter some of the word choices, especially towards the end of the story because they were describing Pandy's actions as if they were for a human. Not a bear. Problem? Yes! I remember wanting the character's to have the most ridiculous names for this short story! Goal achieved.

The assignment was to write a story heavily influenced by one of your favorite fairy tales. Mine is obviously Beauty and the Beast.

My lack of effort for a lot of these assignments is actually quite heart breaking in a way. All well. Can't change what has already taken place. Enjoy!

One October night a storm raged about. There were no trick-or-treaters, or houses with lights on handing out candy.

In one house sat two children, the oldest of the duo wore a white dress with a pattern of tear drops cascading down it. Her face painted white with grey circles around her eyes and a veil pinned in her hair. The younger child wore torn jeans and a torn shirt, his hair messy. His face was painted grey with black outlines.

"Has the storm not let up?" their mothers voice questioned from inside the kitchen.

"No!" groaned the oldest as she stood turning toward the kitchen.

"Well, how about we bake some treats?" their mother smiled sweetly.

"Yeah!" the youngest grinned brightly as he waddled into the kitchen.

They set up all the snacks and then put them in the oven. It wasn't long before the children began shifting about bored.

"Well then," the mother sighed as she weaved herself into the chair, "how about a story?"

"Ah, man!" the girl whined as she slammed her head onto her arm which lay resting on the counter.

"Now, now. Just listen, alright? You may like it." Mother grinned warmly and gave a little wink as the little boy crawled up into the chair.

"Fine." the girl sighed lifting her head as she slouched in her chair to listen.

"Now then... Lets see... there once was a cat girl. She was a princess of the Cat Kingdom, but since she was still so young her Uncle took over when her parents passed on."

The children sat fiddling only hearing some of the words being spoken. Mother only smiled as she breathed to continue the story...
"The Uncle was never home and the cat girl was very lonely."

The Princess sat in her chair striking at dust every now and then as she sighed deeply.

"Princess, Princess!" called the Cricket, "What is wrong?"

"Dear Cricket," the Princess whispered, "My Uncle is gone and I have nothing to do."

"Why don't we bake a cake to eat?" the cricket smiled.

"Hrm, I guess that could be fun." the Princess got up and stretched yawning.

The Princess and the Cricket waltzed into the kitchen. They found a cook book with a cake recipe they liked.

"Cheddar, sugar, frosting, strawberries," the Princess spoke the ingredients as the Cricket gathered them.

They baked, they skipped, laughed, danced, and sang. They had so much fun that when the cake was finished they ate it all together while smiling.

"Wow! Can baking really be that fun?" the girl asked.

"It can be!" the timer began to ring, "Oh! It's done!"

Mother got out the goodies and as it cooled, just like the Princess and Cricket, they danced and sang.

This was a short story I wrote back in High School for my creative writing class. I never gave it a title. Ha. It is not one of my greatest works by far! Still, I thought it would be fun to upload it. I altered a bit of the content, but over all it is the original piece I turned in. It got full marks! The assignment was to write a story that told another story within it and returned to the previous story. Again, I know it is not my greatest work. I do write better than this. I just wanted it to be as close to the original one I turned in as I could mentally handle. Anyway, enjoy.

Recently I've been contemplating my life in the past. How I had all the time in the world to do what I wanted. Now that I am a mother that has no time to even take a shower -A SHOWER!!! I am envious of my friends who complain about having nothing to do or no time on their hands. Ha. I now have to plan my necessities around the needs of my baby which is a major adjustment -not that I am complaining! I love my new mom life! Just sometimes it can all be quite overwhelming. Keeping everything down to earth and just doing my best everyday is the only way I get through it. Ha. I love my little man though. He's a whoot! Anyway, see you guys later! I apologize for the hiatus! Life has its ups and downs. I am also attending a technical school and will be applying to college! Life is full of new things! Wish me luck! Hope you all are all living your lives to the fullest! Even with the unexpected twists and turns!

To live is to dream, reach far to be the brightest star!

Hello,
My name is Mickala. I have not worked on anything lately due to the changes in my life, but I will try to have something new as often as I can. :)

What's new? Well, I am no longer working as a Cosmetologist. Instead I am attending a technical school and working towards attending college. For what? I haven't decided. However, the biggest change in my life would have to be that I became a mother. My baby is almost a year old now. I am a full-time single mother, part-time student, and try my best to be the best me I can be. I have a great family, wonderful friends, and a wonderful man who has stepped up to attempt being in my life even with my little one.

Regardless, I hope you all have patience to journey down this road. I will try to update my page and upload new art soon. Bear with me. Thank you all.
